Big Game Parks (Eswatini)

Click Here To Visit https://biggameparks.orgAt a time when conservation and wildlife were less than favourable, frowned upon by farmers and ignored by politicians, Ted Reilly had a vision. Driven by passion for the natural world at the tender age of 21, he did not take “no” from the British, but turned to the Swazi Monarchy and his own family, finding warm support which enabled the establishment of conservation in Swaziland. At Mlilwane’s official opening in 1964, the SA Wildlife Society chairman stated Mlilwane was "a beautiful but impossible dream." That was over 50 years ago. Against all odds, and with love and pride in Swaziland’s natural heritage, Reilly and his dedicated team built a truly unique private organization. What is Big Game Parks today has been built on “the smell of an oil rag” through sweat, toil, sacrifice and unyielding commitment, quite unlike the billionaire investments of today. Big Game Parks has remained a pioneer in both conservation and tourism in Swaziland.

Goo Moremi Resort

Click Here To Visit https://www.goo-moremiresort.co.bwThe official National heritage site is where perennial streams have cut deep gorges into the hills, with waterfalls cascading into deep pools surrounded by lush vegetation. The gorges are home to many birds that feeds on the fish and small crabs in the pools, and are breeding grounds for the endangered Cape vulture. Leopard, hyena and kudu live in the hills, and the cliffs above the gorge harbour baboons and rock rabbits. It is shrouded in mystery with many amazing myths and legends. The facility has 8 luxury Meru-tents with en-suite bathroom and shower, air conditioning, and complimentary amenities 6 self-catering Chalets and 5 camp sites with individual ablution, wash-up area and braai facility. It also has a 30 seater restaurant, activities include Nature walks as well as Gorge hiking. . Declared a protected National Monument under the National Monuments and Relics Act of 2001, the alluring Goo-Moremi Gorge is a sight to behold with spectacular gorges, five ascending pools and mystical waterfalls. The area has deep cultural significance for the Batswapong of the region, who believe the Goo-Moremi Gorge is the resting place of their ancestral spirits, or Badimo. Apart from its rolling hills, unspoilt gorges, perennial crystal clear water pools, quiet flowing waterfalls and exclusive birdlife, Goo-Moremi is an area shrouded in mystery with many amazing myths and legends. For instance, during the morning of July 13, 1980 between 2am and 5am the villagers of Goo-Moremi heard a loud rumbling as a huge rock tumbled from the gorge above. The rock falling, the story goes, was a sign or message that someone of great importance had passed on. That morning, sad news came through that the first president of Botswana and paramount chief of Bangwato Sir Seretse Khama had died. Apparently the village elders already knew about the death of a leader through their ancestors. In Conclusion, the Resort being a Heritage Site, including the old Moremi settlement, it is also an IBA (Important Birding Area) housing endangered Cape Vultures and a habitat to some wildlife including Zebra, Wildebeest, Kudu, Haartebeest, Eland, Baboons, klipspringers, etc)

Starlight Caravans

Click Here To Visit https://www.starlightcaravans.co.zaStarlight Caravans was established as Starlight Motors in 1983, selling cars, caravans and boats. In 2011 the company switched to buying and seling pre-owned caravans and offroads only. We pleasantly noticed that caravan clients are a special community and one of these aspects that excited us is how caravan clients make buying a caravan a family outing and experience. We felt we could give a good service to the Pretoria and surrounding caravan community and meet their needs for good quality second hand used (pre-owned) caravans. To our surprise we are doing business with clients all over South Africa. We made it our mission to cater for all clients and to stock all price ranges, makes and sizes in the Jurgens, Gypsey, Sprite and their off road range. Johnny Fourie is the founder of Starlight Caravans and is still an active director to date. We own all our properties, with the Grace from above. We strive to provide great service to the caravan community through our hand picked team.

Senqu Tourism

Click Here To Visit http://www.ruraltours.co.za/about-the-eastern-cape-highlands-barkly-east-lady-grey-rhodes-and-tiffindell/The Senqu municipal area is part of the greater Joe Gqabi District which is situated in the north of the Eastern Cape. It includes Sterkspruit, Barkly East, Rhodes, Rossouw and Lady Grey. The southern part of the Drakensberg runs through the area and the particular part of the mountain range is called the Witteberg. This mountainous area is also known as the Eastern Cape Highlands and it borders on Lesotho in the north. It includes the Tiffendell Ski Resort as well as some of the highest mountain passes in South Africa such as Naude’s Nek and Joubert’s Pass. The area is rich in sandstone, fossil beds and rock art and is well known for its biodiversity, fly-fishing and hiking trails. The majestic mountains, deep gorges, pristine rivers and absolute beauty of the Eastern Cape Highlands make it a “got to go” area for all nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. Visitors are amazed by the openness, space and clean, unpolluted air. The area is steeped in the history of Africa. Geologically, the volcanic peaks bear reference to the great turmoil that created the magnificent Drakensberg range. Botanically, the high mountains are home to South Africa’s own alpine plant species. Culturally, it hosts a substantial collection of paintings by our earliest inhabitants, the San Bushmen, and many historical places that commemorate events of the many later inhabitants. The Xhosa, Sesotho and Hlubie tribes played a significant role on the area, as did the British, Dutch and German settlers. Most visitors drive through and enjoy the scenery without realising they have missed the hidden gems on route. Details about the most interesting tourism attractions are not published and the sites closed to the general public, only to be visited by special arrangement. This is where RURAL TOURS can assist. We plan a tailor made tour according to your interests and with your vehicle type, family or group, time and budget in mind. Anything on the list of possible tourism attractions can be included or excluded and you may even wish to include an event or workshop that takes place at the time of your tour. We supply the necessary information for your self-guided tour, arrange your accommodation, meals, access and guides (where necessary) to ensure a memorable holiday… and somewhere in the background we monitor your progress and are there to arrange for assistance should you encounter vehicle or other emergency issues on route. Accommodation establishments in the area are renowned for their friendly, relaxed atmosphere. You can choose from those in the towns, or experience farm life. You can stay in the valleys or on the highest mountains. Come and unwind … and when you have fed your soul, head for the hills for hiking, biking, scrambling, birding, snow-skiing and many more activities.
